Conference Proceedings (ACM Digital Library)

Accepted papers are published on the ACM Digital Library. The program committee will review the final versions of the papers and recommend acceptance to for the ACM Digital Library based on the general quality of the paper and whether the suggestions from the Writers’ Workshop have been taken into account.

TPLoP journal

Papers that have been workshopped at EuroPLoP qualify for submission to the Springer journal LNCS Transactions on Pattern Languages of Programming (TPLoP). Submissions to TPLoP will be blind reviewed independently. If the paper is accepted for TPLoP, the editorial board usually asks for minor or major revisions based on the feedback from the reviewers.

Scientific credibility

  • The *PLoP conferences are the place to go for all pattern papers The *PLoP conferences were started by the founders of the software patterns movement and are the place where all famous pattern book authors came to present their written work. Amongst these authors are the Gang of Four and the POSA pattern book authors.
  • EuroPLoP was ranked by CORE with ranking B, which also currently reflects the high quality of the conference. However, currently CORE does not rank B-conferences anymore if they are hosted in the same country each year (but for EuroPLoP we prefer to stay at the same venue).
  • EuroPLoP publishes its proceedings with ACM which provides SCOPUS indexing and which is a popular publisher amongst many scientific conferences from the computing domain.
  • EuroPLoP has an international program committee and receives submissions every year from several countries all over the world, such as the USA, Japan, Australia, Brazil, and Germany.
  • The EuroPLoP proceedings are high-quality thanks to the shepherding process and the Writers Workshop, where authors receive individual guidance from experts in the field to improve each paper before the final version. EuroPLoP papers are respected in academia and industry and receive citations and references from several other works, being a reference in the patterns field.

Pattern books

Many of the EuroPLoP participants used the knowledge and material they gathered at the EuroPLoP conference to write pattern books. Here is an overview of the books that were published by EuroPLoP participants:
